“When I sought out on the mission to create a restaurant, I kept coming back to my family roots to inspire the concept, culture, and menu of Local Roots.”

My grandfather was the original creator of our famous fries recipe: the Grandaddy Fries. I wanted to honor my grandfather, Harold Willcutt, a hard-working southern man who believed his garden was his way of life. He would always take pride and joy in tending to his colorful and flavorful crops knowing that his produce would help bring his family together every Sunday to connect, making memories for years to come. Among those crops were his always delicious New Potatoes that he famously turned into hand-cut golden goodness that our family, and now Local Roots guests, enjoy.
